Syeda Tasnim Tawhid majored in microbiology during her undergraduate studies and then undertook research on clinical biology and quantitative biology while completing postgraduate work. She has now been appointed an assistant professor of microbiology at a university in Bangladesh, where she enjoys teaching complicated concepts in a way that is easily understood to relate to their application in everyday life. Syeda finds interesting documentaries about cutting-edge discoveries especially fascinating, as they have the potential to change human lives for the better.
